Our Core Beliefs
We believe in leadership
We believe that true leadership is found in educating and empowering others.
We believe in doing what is right rather than what is popular.
We believe that sports should be about the athletes, coaches, and officials rather than parents and politics.
We believe in standing up for those that do not have a voice.
We believe in living above the line.
We believe in Teamwork
We believe that success in sports and in life is only possible in a team-first environment. Our coaches, athletes, and families approach each day trying to answer 3 questions;
1. How can I make the program better;
2. How can I make my teammates better;
3. How can I make myself better?
We Believe in Families
We believe that our family time and health are the most valuable assets we will ever own. We structure our program to maximize time together, with set schedules, set days, set times, set locations, without any mandatory volunteering.
In Season Hockey Development
Northern Hockey Development offers in season skill development that allows players to experience weekly specialized development sessions that are designed to enhance skating, complement team training, and align with the demands of a competition season. Northern Hockey Development is proud to provide in-season training for players from 6 to 15 years of age through partnering teams, associations & skating clubs.
Yorkton Hockey Camps
The off season is a critical development period for on-ice athletes. Players need a training system that is committed to long term success. Proper stride correction and skill development requires an on-going commitment that is revisited each season, building upon the skills learned and correcting any ‘bad habits’ that developed during the season due to exhaustion and injury.
